What does responsive caregiving look like in real homes across India? Baatein, Sneh, Khel is a photo-based storytelling project by Dost Education, created in collaboration with Bachpan Manao, that documents caregiving in its most authentic form—through daily moments of talk, care, and play.
Working with six families in Dehradun, the project captures how parents and caregivers naturally engage with their children in ways that align with key developmental principles—often without formal training. These moments are thoughtfully linked to the six domains of the National Curriculum Framework (NCF), showing how everyday practices contribute to a child’s holistic growth.
The accompanying micro-site and exhibition serve as powerful tools for advocacy, parent engagement, educator training, and policy conversations. The PDF below features highlights from the project, quotes from families and experts, and details on how the visuals are being used to build awareness around responsive caregiving in India.
