Peek-a-boo
This is a simple game for children, of ages 9 months old and below, where one hides their face with their hands, blanket, or any other object and suddenly reveals it exclaiming “peek-a-boo!” or the equivalent of it in their respective language. To begin, make eye contact to engage the baby's attention.
Cover your face with your hands, a light blanket, or a soft toy. Use a cheerful, animated voice and an exaggerated facial expression as you quickly reveal your face while exclaiming “Peek-a-boo!” Repeat the game multiple times, allowing your baby time to react and eventually encouraging them to initiate or mimic the actions.
For children older than a year, could begin to play “Hide and Seek” by not just covering your face but your entire self with a blanket. Or you could hide objects under boxes while your child tries to find them.
