BM8 Videos

BM8 is a talk series by Bachpan Manao, featuring inspiring speakers who bring diverse perspectives on early childhood, play, learning, and wellbeing – in 8 mins or less. It includes novel concepts, approaches, initiatives, insights, innovations, and experiments that benefit children to grow and thrive. Through thought-provoking ideas and personal stories, BM8 creates a space for dialogue and action to reimagine childhood in India.

The BM8 talks will have a mix of speakers that bring perspectives that are relevant to:

  • Carer Ecosystem – To inspire and unlock awareness through reassurance and seed action to celebrate childhood
  • Collabactor Ecosystem – To inspire, unlock awareness and empower action to unlock awareness in carers

The talks are curated keeping three objectives in mind
✅ Inspire individuals and orgs to enable children to grow & thrive
✅ Ignite interest in giving a BM8 talk, becoming a BM champion
✅ Generate investment in children growing & thriving (money, time or resources)

If you are interested in delivering and recording a BM8 talk, please write to us at bachpanmanao@gmail.com.

Ashish Shalini Shrivastava, Shiksharth Co-founder

Ashish Shalini Shrivastava challenges us to rethink what it means to support childhood. Drawing from his work with children in conflict-affected Bastar and his own journey as a father, he reflects on the many ways adults unintentionally fail children when we prioritize schooling over childhood itself. He invites us to ask three simple but powerful questions: Am I safe? Am I loved? Am I learning? Through stories that are both deeply personal and profoundly universal, Ashish reminds us that every child deserves not just an education, but a childhood where they can feel safe, loved, and free to thrive.
