We’re calling it the Bachpan is Gr8 Hour — and we’re inviting you to give it\, or pass the invitation on. \nThree steps. Nothing to organise. \n\nGive the hour. Spend it with a child\, full attention. They decide what you do together — ice cream\, a story\, a movie\, or just play. Whatever it is\, go with it. Pledge your hour.\nLook back. You’ll likely notice the child drawn to play\, social bonding\, all-round skills\, education\, creativity\, stories\, nature\, or quiet time — the 8 Wonders of Bachpan is Gr8 — without anyone planning for them.\nShare it. Post a photo tagging @BachpanManao with #BachpanIsGr8Hour\, email us at bachpanmanao@gmail.com\, or WhatsApp us at 87922 43532\, and tell us which wonder you spotted.\n\nThe ask — choose one\, or both \nGive the Hour. With the children around you\, or your own team’s families. Just once\, any day\, between Oct 2–8. \nAnchor Bachpan is Gr8 Hour. Share the pledge into your neighbourhood\, school\, workplace\, or network\, so others can take it on too. \nBefore you begin \n\nChild-led just means no teaching\, no directing. Follow\, don’t lead.\nAny age counts — not just 0–8. Older kids can lead just as well.\nMore than anything tangible\, your time and attention matter.\n\nFor organisations — ways to amplify \n\nGive it as a team. Every staff member takes the pledge to take their own hour\, wherever they are.\nOpen your space. Create the environment for a child-led hour for your community\, staff families\, or partner NGOs.\nBring in unusual allies. Invite leadership\, funders\, donors\, or senior officials to spend the hour with a child themselves.\nCarry it to your network. Share the pledge with your neighbourhood\, friends\, donors\, parents\, HR\, or stakeholder list.\n\nCapturing the moment — safely \n\nAsk the child first\, and the caregiver\, every time\, before any photo or video.\nCapture the moment\, not the face. Hands\, drawings\, objects\, or a voice note carry the story just as well.\nSharing is optional.
